How can we help you today?

One of our inspectors filmed the termite activity above while inspecting an attic. These Drywood Termites are what we commonly fumigate (a.k.a. tenting) our houses for. Just as their name suggests, these termites infest dry, undecayed wood because they can tolerate a low moisture or dry environment for prolonged periods of time. They can remain entirely above ground and do not required the need to return to the soil like their Subterranean cousins. These insects are most commonly discovered by the small pellets they push through our walls or the wings they leave behind after a swarm.

A full inspection should reveal any active infestations in your home, and any potential problem areas. While a fumigation is the most effective way to guarantee 100% termite elimination, there are other treatments available to suit your individual needs.

According to the USDA Forest Service, Subterranean Termites are the most destructive and economically important pest of wood and other cellulose products. They attack wood throughout most of the United States, and are most common, and hence most destructive, in the warmer regions. They are estimated to cause over $1 billion dollars worth of damages annually. (USDA Forest Service, 2006)

One of our inspectors took this photo of a piece of wood covered with Subterranean mud-tubes. It is becoming very common to find discarded pieces of wood in the crawlspaces underneath a home. This cellulose debris is an excellent treat for Subterranean Termites since it is wood hidden from the homeowner’s eyes and potential predators. Since these termites come up from the ground and can cause so much damage without you even knowing it. Our inspectors know how to find these cryptic insects and what attracts them to your home.

Termites are experts at hiding, and are known to eat all the way up to the paint so you wont even know they are there. Leaky pipes are just one of the many conditions that promote termite and fungus activity. Our trained staff of inspectors and technicians can diagnose and repair termite or fungus damaged areas and bring your home back up to code.

Bed Bugs are among the most frightening insects in our industry. 1 out of 5 Americans either has had a bed bug infestation or knows someone who did. They are commonly found in homes, apartments, condos and hotels but can also be found in nursing homes, schools, dorm rooms, offices and public transportation. Just the thought of bringing one of these pests home is enough to make you itch.
